What goes in must come out

I have been challenged this morning by the Lord. As many of you know, I am not religious. I am a man of faith and I would believe I walk in grace. But I have found myself recently being challenged by what I watch and what I read. It has been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul and what goes in must come out. Our ears are a doorway to the soul. Again what goes in must come out. We put food in our mouths and it has been said, what we eat we become. So if our ears are the doorway and our eyes are the window of the soul it is clear to me what goes in has to come out. So when we are watching East Enders, Coronation Street, reality shows, is that wholesome, is it pleasing? The word of God says, Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things (Philippians 4: 8). So do not take my word for it, read your own Bibles.

I believe this is the problem with most of the established church. I myself was caught up in a lie for about seven years as I misinterpreted Scripture and believed I could do as I liked and there were no consequences, as my sins were forgiven, past, present and future. I could watch what I wanted, do what I wanted and there were no consequences. That was my mistake, not that of those who taught me, but my interpretation of what I believed was extended grace. The Bible says it is a bad thing when we deceive ourselves. The consequences of this were I ended up in the wilderness for a long time. The good news is I am out of the wilderness now and I for one would never want to go back into that deception.

I have been challenged by the Lord about that little screen in the corner of our house and I believe it is now a time when all Christians need to make a stand and cancel their TV licences with the BBC. I myself have challenged the BBC and I have found out that whether you watch the BBC or not you are paying for their anti-Christ, LGBT agenda. What perverted, degenerate producer came up with the title ‘Gay Britannia’? I think this is an insult to Queen Victoria and all the God-fearing people that lived before us. I suggest this is not the time to be passive but to be proactive and write to your MP and the Director General Lord Hall. Do not write to the complaints department. Write to Lord Hall and bombard him with your disgust. Or make a bolder stand and cancel your TV licence. There will be outcries from your children, but you are responsible for your children, what they watch, what they do, and it is your responsibility to bring them up in the nurture and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. When they are old enough they can make their own decisions.

Unfortunately we as a Christian nation have compromised and, as somebody once said, you do not have to become an ape to win apes. This society is trying to rewrite the Bible. We are the people with the truth and the world is the one with the lie and the father of lies, the devil. Stand up, stand up for Jesus and follow the cross.

Whatsoever Things Are Lovely and Honest…

Passchendaele New British CemeteryThe world has just remembered Passchendaele and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge honoured our nation for the loss or wounding of about 275,000 allied troops in the mud and the squalor of Passchendaele. What were they fighting for? Freedom and democracy.

I believe we are moving into a time when many of these freedoms will be taken away from us and I believe this is the time when the church of Jesus Christ should rise up.

There is a left-wing, LGBT agenda, which unfortunately if you are TV licence payer you are paying for every time you pay your TV licence.

I do not know if you are like me, but I am appalled at the left-wing agenda that the BBC seem to be promoting. It is our duty as Christians to stand up for truth so I would urge you to pick up a pen and paper and write to your MP, the Prime Minister and the Director General of the BBC, Lord Hall. If you can live without a TV, the ultimate thing you can do is disconnect your television, which much of today seems to be anti-Christ promoting values that the BBC was never set up to do. Their founders on their own statue of a sower which can be found in Broadcasting House stated clearly,

Inscription

This temple of the arts and muses is dedicated to Almighty God by the first Governors in the year of our Lord 1931, John Reith being Director-General. And they pray that good seed sown may bring forth good harvest, and that all things foul or hostile to peace may be banished thence, and that the people inclining their ear to whatsoever things are lovely and honest, whatsoever things are of good report, may tread the path of virtue and wisdom.

So it would be clear to me the founders of the BBC believed in the Bible. The present Director General it is very clear by the types of programmes he is sanctioning does not hold any of these values that the founders believed in, which are much of the values of the Bible and God’s word.

So now is not the time to procrastinate. It is time to make your voice heard. Share this with your brothers and sisters in church, as one letter to an MP or the BBC is equivalent to a thousand. We can make a difference if we stand up and are counted. There is an old saying, evil increases because men and women do nothing. If you agree with me, let me know. If you disagree , also let us know.

May God bless us as we all stand up for truth and justice in our nation.

Fighting for Survival

There have been many occasions in history when the United Kingdom has been fighting for its very survival such as against the Spanish Armada with Sir Francis Drake and the First and Second World Wars, but the one thing about these times is people were united against a common foe. Unfortunately today we are on the brink of another battle, I believe for the very soul of this nation. I hope and pray on 9 June I do not wake up to Mr Corbyn as prime minister for many reasons: firstly I believe he is antichrist; he is disrespectful to the Queen; I believe he is a republican; I am bold enough to say he is an IRA sympathiser and as a British soldier I believe no military men should vote for this man as he has dishonoured those who died in conflict.

So if you are a UK citizen I would like you to search your own conscience if this is where you should put your vote. I urge you to seek God, as this vote is not just about leaving the European Union, this is about the moral fabric of our nation. I myself am not a traditional Tory voter, but in the light of the two candidates I have no choice but to vote for Theresa May. I hope and pray if God grants it and she becomes prime minister of this country she will take a look at the state of our nation, enact laws that are fair to all in society and reverse many of the laws which take away the rights of the parent and are detrimental to the poor and needy. The word of God is very clear, if those in power are not mindful of the less fortunate of our society, I believe on judgment day they will pay the price.

So I would ask you, brethren, in the next few days to pray that we do not wake up on 9 June to a nightmare, as if Mr Corbyn is elected, I believe many of our freedoms will disappear. Whether that is good or bad for the church of Jesus Christ only time will tell, as no matter what this world does, our Father God is sovereign. He appoints and He demotes, no matter what man might think. He is the Great I AM.

Into Battle

We are living in perilous times. We see the conflagrations around the world. I believe we are living so close to the end that the body of Christ needs to wake up and, as it says in Ezekiel, stop playing in the shallows. As a minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for over 36 years I am beginning to get a witness in my spirit that it is time for the church of Jesus Christ to stand up and start being counted. I believe the church worldwide has settled for a candy-coated gospel. We have used clever programmes, clever schemes and at times worldly methods to reach the lost. My brothers and sisters, these things do not work. They will never work. They result in social clubs. Jesus told us to watch and pray. I believe when the body of Christ stops entertaining the troops we shall see a revival and a restoration like never before. I have read about the Hebridean revival, the 1905 revival and Azusa Street, but I believe there is a revolution about to start that will make these look like Sunday school parties.

Jesus told us through Matthew 24:

“And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.”
Matthew 24: 6-9

I believe these are the words of Jesus Christ. Am I correct? He also says later in Matthew 24 for us to look at the fig tree:

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!”
Matthew 24: 32-33

I also believe God is going to shake the nations. We can see through the Old Testament when the children of Israel were stiff-necked and rebellious against God He allowed them to be taken into captivity: Egypt, Babylon and Rome.

So, my brothers, sisters and fellow-ministers, if we do not get out from behind our walls and get into the battle, as we are in a war, we battle not against flesh and blood but against powers, principalities and rulers of wickedness in high places, we shall lose more and more ground to the enemy. As great men and women from the past know, we need to get on our knees, humble ourselves before God and fight the battle in prayer, and then when this is done, go and take the land. As Pastor Bonnke from Christ for All Nations always said, we should plunder hell and populate heaven.

I do not care what denomination you are from, you who are reading this, it is the same for us all.

Most churches I go into seem more like hospitals than army camps, or sadly they are so worldly they become entertainment centres, which saddens my heart. I have visited churches over the past five years. I have been in church meetings and there has been no welcome to me as a stranger. I have left these meetings wondering why I ever came. Many churches in the United Kingdom lack communitas. If you check on the word communitas, you will see it is the kind of community that Christians experience when they are on mission together (see this video). The problem is, you need to be on mission to experience this. It does not mean you have to go to Africa, India or far across the world. There has to be a mission heart in your local church or fellowship. We were never told in the scriptures to stay. We were always told to go (Matthew 28). What we seem to do in the west is have a party and invite people to the party. My observation of the New Testament is they went out. They did not employ professionals to do it. They all did it. I know some of the clergy will not agree with this but my understanding of that is they like to keep their jobs and sadly sometimes power.

So I would like you to reflect on this wherever you are in the world.

Titus 1: 10-16
For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.
To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Write the Vision and Make It Plain

Timothy College and Business Institute

Timothy College and Business Institute

As many of you that have followed this web site will know, many years ago, Myers Cooper and I were given a vision which we have held on to for 18 years. We have learned that some things that God imparts to men and women can take many years to come to fruition. If it takes the rest of our lives we will never stop trusting, we will never stop believing, that God will build Timothy College and Business Institute in Cambodia.

In Habakkuk 2: 2, it tells us clearly that the visionary should write the vision, make it plain and wait for those to run with the vision. I believe we are very close to a major breakthrough.

We were once asked at an SAO (Southeast Asian Outreach, now Cambodia Action) conference at Bawtry Hall their headquarters, that we were kindly invited to in order to share this vision, how we were going to build Timothy College, and I remember Myers Cooper saying, ‘We are not; God is going to build it.’

Some years later, we were invited by Barnabas Mam, then Asia Regional Director of Ambassadors for Christ International, to Spain where we met Louie Giglio. I have never forgotten the message that day when he spoke about Moses at the burning bush. I remember him saying that he thought Moses would have said, ‘I am not but I know I AM.’ We have held on to those words since that conference in Peñiscola and we know that if it takes the rest of our lives God’s word will never return void. Timothy College and Business Institute, which will be managed by the church leaders of Cambodia, will be built as God would build it.

If you feel led to be part of this, please contact us wherever you may be in the world. If you feel led to give to this (as Jesus said, ‘Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys’), then I know you will be doing a wonderful thing in the kingdom of God. You know we do not believe in this nonsense that many do: giving to receive. I believe that it is better to give than to receive and trust God for the rest. I have also learned in my walk with the Lord that I am not responsible for the fulfilment of these things. God is. As Gamaliel once said, ‘If this plan or action is of men, it will be overthrown; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them.’

Please pray for the Cambodian church and its leaders, as it is their needs that need to be supplied, not ours. We have many good-quality colleges and universities. They have few.
