Love Phnom Penh

Between the months of October and December, there are major missions taking place across Cambodia. There is a children’s mission with over six thousand children and could be more. There are major Christian companies supporting this work. Much of the finance I believe is coming from the national Cambodian church and the leaders. The main objective of the festival is to bring the love of Jesus Christ into the hearts and the minds of the Khmer people, to show the love of God and take them from darkness to light. But in all great moves of God there is major opposition. Sadly, there is jealousy, backbiting and squabbling. As Paul the apostle said, we do not battle with flesh and blood but powers, principalities and wickedness in high places.

I am sending out a request that in your prayer times you will lift the people, the pastors and the leaders in prayer. The one thing the devil hates is when the saints of God come together in unity. The pastors and the leaders are working 24/7. I believe many of them are tired, but as in a race, they will push through to the final objective, which is the major event in the Olympic Stadium between 5 and 7 December. So as the body of Christ we must stand with these brothers and sisters and see the power of God which could change the face of Cambodia forever. Please share this with your family, your friends and al those in the body of Christ. All of us who understand Cambodia believe this is the most amazing event to hit the nation for many years. May all the glory go back to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Cambodian Crusade Hangs in the Balance

With three months to go before the culmination of the Love Phnom Penh Festival (LPPF), the organisers are still waiting for three crucial decisions from the Cambodian authorities:

  1. Formal permission from the government for the festival to go ahead.
  2. An agreement that they can use the largest stadium in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, for a three-day evangelistic crusade.
  3. Visas for the crusade speaker, Dr Franklin Graham, President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and his team.

Cambodian Christians urge their brothers and sisters around the world to join them in prayer:

“Please continue to help support and encourage more prayer for LPPF. We believe the focus for LPPF at this time is a breakthrough in any Satanic hindrances and human resistance. Then God’s will and purpose for LPPF will be accomplished and be unstoppable.”
